Lidia Caricasole
she/her/hers

A native of Verona, Italy, Lidia began dancing at the age of eight at the Vic Ballet Academy, a public dance school. She is a well-versed dancer in traditional and contemporary modern dance techniques. In 2016, she graduated from high school with a specialization in fashion design. Without much opportunity in her area for higher education in the performing arts, Lidia started traveling around the world to attend workshops and intensives. In 2015, she attended the Juilliard Summer Dance Intensive, a thrilling experience that motivated her to pursue dance abroad. In the summer of 2018, Lidia was selected to attend the Nederlands Dans Theater Summer Intensive with a full scholarship. In the summer of 2019, she participated in the Gaga Intensive in Los Angeles. Over the years, Lidia has learned repertoire from world-renowned choreographers such as Jiří Kylián, Hofesh Shechter, Ohad Naharin, Crystal Pite, Paul Lightfoot and Sol León, Martha Graham, and Paul Taylor. She has also had the opportunity to work on new creations by leading choreographers such as Bryan Arias and Andrea Miller. In the summer of 2019, she was founder, artistic director, and teacher at the Verona Summer Dance Lab, a program that hosted over fifty young dancers from all over Italy. Lidia has also been a Gluck Fellowship member at Juilliard since 2019. Now in her senior year, attracted to both performing and choreographing, Lidia’s ambition is to expand her skills and creativity in order to contribute to the development of the performing arts in her home country.
